Hey guys, This is my first time malting corn. Most of my kernels are a little over an inch long and I've noticed tiny white hairs protruding from the shoot. Also, the bottom of the shoots are turning a light pinkish color? Is all of this normal or is it mold?
In addition, A lot of people tell me corn kernels grow roots as well during germination. However, my kernels are not developing roots. Should I be concerned or can I proceed to drying?
Thanks!
Is this normal for malt corn?

Re: Is this normal for malt corn?
I have just malted my first corn (blue corn in my case). This is how mine appeared when the acrospires were a little over an inch in length.
Just another pot stiller
