scrap yard etiquette

Putting older posts here. Going to try to keep the novice forum pruned about 90 days work. The 'good' old stuff is going to be put into appropriate forums.

scrap yard etiquette

Post by cob »

when you go to your local recycler and approach the copper bin you have been scrapping the bottom of for years and you find it stacked taller than you are with copper pipe six inches across and ten feet long try to refrain from falling to your knees and bubbling "oh god oh god oh god". the stuff on the floor will cut your knees and they will stare at you. that was monday true except for knees and god. the recycler's get most everything eventually. the scrap price of copper has gone up a buck in 4-5 months but 5 feet of 2" is still only $15 cob

if you don't understand the problem you can't possibly solve it c.o.b.

It is the very things that we think we know, that keep us from learning what we should know.
