The bitter cherry I refered to is the Morello in the USA. We call it Amarane. Sorry for the confusion

The ones I use are black cherrys. There also called chokecherrys. The trees are large{30-60ft} and the cherrys are smaller than peas. They make really good wine, but are not like sweet or tart big cherrys at all.
The wine is also good for arthritis and stiff joints. It works like magic!
They grow wild around here, and are free for the pickin,if you can reach em.

off the cherry subject and off the welches subject, but has anyone used those delicious tropical fruit or mixed fruit concentrates/frozen bags?
water + sugar + yeast = wine

water + flour + yeast = bread

wine + bread = two things I can make at home
