Heads not removed

A friend just gave me a gallon jug of Corn shine that is absolutely delicious. I ask him how he made it and what I found out (like most old timers) he didn't remove the heads....just tails. Pretty damn good stuff. Should I run it again and remove heads or what? Just drink it and hope I don't die or get a hangover headache from hell? Real new here...trying to learn...many thanks.
