cloudy at 80 proof, but not 90????

Anybody ever run into a situation were your liquor turns cloudy at a certain proof?? (mine was exactly at 80 proof). But it remained clear at 90 proof... Did it both with the run off water from the river as well as store bought distilled water..If it was cloudy and I added some more "concentrate liquor" and it cleared up.. Is this a Ph problem. Not only that but it only does it with my Gin. The other liquors do not even have an issue with this. So I'm brain storming that the juniper berries are changing the Ph of the water?????
