where should i store my copper column

Post by bayouman »

when i'm not using my still where should i store the copper column? i built a wooden case for it, should i store it in my shop or should i store under my bed? of course i'd rince it and make sure it's completely dry first of all. it's about 5 foot tall and breaks down into 3 even pieces. the boiler and the condensor is stainless so that shouldn't be an issue.

If you are worried about it, lock the box and store it in your Mom's attic, assuming you do not still live in her house. Who would look for it there?
Seriously, if it is clean and dry, it doesn't much matter where you store it.
Don't tell, don't sell, don't piss off an ex-wife (easier said than done), don't leave a clear paper trail or do other dumb sh_t (pot plants on the patio) that would attract an office to your door and there is a small chance anyone will ever come looking.

was more concerned about moisture and humidity, not people finding it.

Ummm...if it can survive a stillin' run, I think it could even survive being left out on the Gulf Coast.
It's not made of particle board, ya know. :moresarcasm:
