Hi

Post by Tmschultz6 »

I am new to this forum. My wife bought me a still for father's day from brewhaus and I also recieved that letter stating they are providing her information to the TTB. People having been saying on this forum tht they will not come after you because they have bigger fish to fry. Well today five agents showed up at my house and confiscated my still. Since my wife cooperated they did not press charges. Apparently it is illegal to own one in Florida. Just be aware. Thanks

Dear lord, please allow this dangerous combination of hair spray, bat slobber, and DOT4 automatic transmission fluid to excite my mind, occupy my spirits, and enrage my body.

Was it a HB flute? Another member had the same thing happen. It's in another thread. 5 agents and Florida.

Did they have a search warrant? I am sure it was very unsettling for your wife but no way would they step foot in my home without a warrant. Would be interesting to see if they would even have grounds to get one. I doubt they would to be honest. I realize it is easy for me to sit here and say this because I was not in the situation. I imagine that they were very intimidating and they made it out to seem like cooperation was your best option.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

I run off bible salesmen and JW's that approach my yard uninvited . Why would I let ATF in without probable cause , warrent , and my lawyer present .

I think it's best to cooperate, do not make.something into more than it needs to be. I'm pretty calm in tence situations, but if I'm doing something illegal and 5 feds knock on my door, I'd be a little.nervous.

cooperate is always the best approach but let them search your house and confiscate property without cause or warrant, not this boy and I'm an over polite Canadian

This issue will not get better, or go away. It will continue to worsen as long as people are willing to be compliant with tyranny. I do not advocate any sort of violence or even open advertisement of activity; just private people making things they want to have. There is nothing but arbitrary government decisions between your ability to create a salad and a whiskey. They deem one good and they other bad - then impose their will upon us. You can have both but only make one; a silly distinction.

Again, I fully support the decision of many folks here to simply remain quite and peaceful in their hobby. I am well aware that "...mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed." But if tolerated - they will become unsufferable. For those of you thinking I am radical, that was our Declaration of Independence I quoted. Perhaps...I am just American.

If they come here to the farm, wanting to look around and search, they WILL have a warrant or they will leave.
As stated, its a private residence.
