A moonshine still and 20 gallons of illegal liquor was confiscated Thursday by the Echols County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies located a moonshine still in a wooded area off of Hwy 94 East, about the 26 mile marker.
The moonshine, with a street value of $400, was located at the still sight ready for pick up.
In their stakeout, Sheriff Courson and deputies saw a car driven by Dennis Henderson, 51 of Fargo, GA.
Henderson walked to the still sight and was in the process of retrieving the jugs of moonshine when he was taken into custody, without incident.
Henderson is being charged with felony manufacturing of distilled spirits, misdemeanor possession of distilled spirits, and felony possession of tools during commission of a crime.

That's one of them bull$hit piggy back charges....adding to the rap sheet. Kinda like if you walked around with a wrecking bar you"ll not be bothered. Get caught breakin and entering with it? Then it turns to felony possession of tools to commit a crime. This cat prolly pissed the wrong person off...ratted out.
Patience....the early bird get's the worm, but the second rat get's the cheese.

So this is the crime of the century for Echols County and they're milking it for all they can. NICE
you can lead a horse to water but it's hard as hell to drown it
Hopefully, this isn't one of our members... Love the plastic jugs, especially the re-purposed faded gasoline container...
As for the ancillary charges, I see it in my area all the time... If someone gets pulled over for DWI they get 5 - 6 ancillary charges that all sound pretty much the same... Gotta make sure they have something that'll stick and something that can be plead down or dropped... Not to mention that virtually every person making the newspaper for DWI is also charged with a series of drug possession charges...
