Army Whiskey

Post by Swedish Pride »

Nice article about some ex army folks that now run their own distillery.

It's only 6 months old Whiskey, thought It had to be older be be allowed to be branded as whiskey.
I like the understated design of the bottle but at 58$ per each it needs to be good at all levels.

Anyone had it?

It can be called whiskey.
They shouldn't be calling it a bourbon though.

They can call it bourbon. It only needs to spend one second on wood to be a bourbon. It needs 2 years to be called a straight bourbon.

SCD is right. And those aren't just industry standards, they are written into the law. It is very specific about what you can put on the label, and the label must be approved before you can sell any.
Distilling at 110f and 75 torr.

Well of course! This is America, isn't it? Marketing trumps everything. And if you have enough lobbying juice you get it written into the law.
