Alcohol pic of the day, week, whatever
I spend a lot of time during my day job collecting images related to style, design etc. I find I come across a lot of images that are related to the enjoyment of libations. So I thought I would share an image a day if that's OK with y'all. So these are images about the enjoyment of the art of distillation. Perhaps I'll throw in links of interesting stories I come across as well.
I trust the moderators will move my thread if they think it belongs elsewhere.
So here's pic of the day number one.

Just me, Oh hell no, everyone should get in there, this is just about the aesthetics of libations, I am sure there is an endless supply of images to share.Bigbob wrote:That looks good, can we all participate or is this all you?
For me, these images serve as inspiration for the craft, from the art of building the still, to designing and building a wash, distilling it in one of a thousand ways, to crafting a great drink and enjoying it in a great setting with friends or your mistress. (It would appear this is one of the last remaining places on the interweb not infiltrated by lasses, correct me if I am wrong. But it seems safe to assume this is essentially the back room at local barber shop where we can speak freely)
A good looking bar:

Rum Monkey, I wouldn't doubt that Corene will be along directly to rip you a new ass. I'm sure there will be many of her friends here standing by with big grins on their faces.

Rum Monkey, caught myself staring at that top one, maybe a little too long. Looks delicious,... the drinks dont look bad either.
Here's an interesting pic, about 2 hours after I dropped a charred stick in a new batch of Gumballhead. The caramels and color bleeding out and settling to the bottom at first.

What's cool is I found six of these glasses last weekend sitting dirty on the floor surrounded by litter next to a trash can in an empty fairgrounds building while looking for a bathroom.
Yeah, they came home with me and cleaned up nicely.

Shine it is on a third use block of oak, I'm not sure if it can over oak. I would let it go for at least 4 months from the date on the jar. If you can I would like to see a pic of how its coming along.ShineonCrazyDiamond wrote:You started without me?!jedneck wrote:Corn, oats and barley ujssm oak for 4 months
