Do you drink your shine?

Do you guys ever drink your shine neat, on the rocks or in a mixed drink or do you mostly age it?

The cook has to eat his own mistakes and you got to drink your own shine . Many of us like to air our cuts for a while , blend , and then age for a time . White dog changes rapidly for the better . Oaking takes longer . It's a matter of your own taste .
If you ain't the lead dog in the team , the scenery never changes . Ga Flatwoods made my avatar and I want to thank him for that .
Don't drink water , fish fornicate in it .

Yes, yes and yes.

New produce requires sampling, less than ideal (or waiting for aging or ran out of booze) requires mixers and aging makes more difference than you'd think until you get there.

Absolutely!
While stilling,
After airing,
After aging,
After oaking.

Why would I drink anything else?

Waking up the next day with no hangover is proof enough

Joking aside, commercial at 40%abv/80 proof is a bit dull, so my vote is for 50%abv/100 proof. That will give you flavor and let you enjoy it without immediate drunkenness.

I am the same way. Ujssm ,to me,is best before it loses the sweet taste. I air it out and then drink it b4 it loses the sweetness.1/3 Oats make the sweet stay a bit longer. Sweetfeed gets aged. Chickenscratch too. Uj and coke .sweetfeed and rocks. Chickenscratch neat. Rum makes apple pie or goes in coke.
Hell yes i drink it,so does the wife and most of the family and friends. Some just dont know what they are drinking.

The only way I know I'm getting better is by taste. I'm sure liking what I have been doing lately. So, yes, of course I drink it.

I drink all of what I make as white dog, whether neutral spirits or flavored, either straight or in a mixed drink at between 80 and 110 proof... The only exception is on the rare occasion when I macerate using fruit or zest...

Somebody sure is drinking it; the empty jars are stacking up out in my shed.
Thinking I may need to make a batch up in the corner of my living room...sure makes the house smell good.

A few sips of hearts right out of the still for me. mmmmm, mmmmmm, good. The rest is aged with JD chips for my friends. Folks around here never saw brown shine before ! I've made a few converts along the way. :shh: :shh:  8)

I rarely drink it to be honest but I don't ever cut it with water so it's a little perky, I find all I can taste after cutting is the water and it ruins it for me. Probably doing it wrong I do take a few straight from the still and that is my favourite thing but I find that lovely sweetness goes too quickly and it just put it away in the potting shed with the other 50 or so bottles

Yep but only if I was too lazy to flavor a few bottles with herbs/fruit.
I'll take my double and cut it back 50/50 with purified water. It's white lightening no doubt but it goes down OK and has a nice aroma. Not my favorite but it'll fly now and then.

I pretty much drink all my spirits three ways: neat, Neat, and NEAT.
