Quick and easy cobbler

Post by Boxcutter »

Can use any fruit you like. Peach, blueberries,Apple, black berries, etc.

2 cups self rising flour ( has to be self rising )
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
Tablespoon vanilla
1 Teaspoon of cinnamon
1 Teaspoon nut meg

Mix flour, sugar, water in a mixing bowl till all the lumps are out. Toss in vanilla ,cinnamon, nut meg,and mix well. Spray pan with cooking spray and toss your fruit in your pan and pour mixture from mixing bowl over fruit . Bake for ruffly an hour are till it starts brown ontop.

Use enough fruit to fill the bottom of your pan. I use 2 medium size cans of sliced peaches. I think they are 16oz cans.
You'll love this recipe if you like cobblers !

Love this recipe. I've been making something similar for many years - simple, easy, and delicious.

I used to cook one almost exactly like this. It was called the cup of recipe. 1 cup of flour 1 cup milk 1 can fruit and 1 stick of butter. Did you forget the butter or is that the way it is? SC is right simple easy and delicious. Almost fool proof.

Been doing this for years in the Dutch Ovens

Trade your flour out for a French Vanilla cake mix. . . Trust me on this

Dump a quart of fruit in the bottom, divide one stick of butter in quarters
toss it in
'Dump the cake mix on top

Cook

No need for butter but it probably won't hurt anything. The self rising flour is the key make sure you use it instead of regular all purpose flour

That's the one I use. I put the stick of butter in a casserole dish in a 350 dF oven and let it heat up til it's bubbling. Mix up the batter, pour it over the hot butter and spoon the fruit on top. Cook for 50 to 60 minutes.
