for dinner tonight i have made a batch of slow cooked punk ipa chicken (yet to be pulled).
the recipe went like this.
700g of chicken breast cut in to chunks
11 floz of BrewDog punk IPA. (very common in these parts, who'd of thunk it)
a little salt and pepper.
all placed in a crockpot and left to cook over 14 hours (was aiming for 6 but forgot to turn it off )
planing to serve it in a wrap with lettice and drizzeld with apricot + dead poney club(renderd down) sause.
all washed down with more punk ipa.
im hoping for a hoppy flavourd chicken. light in the bitterness, full in flavour. if it dosnt work ill still eat it whos gonna waist good beer or chicken .

Re: punk pulled chicken
I've never had chicken cooked in beer before but now I've got to try it.
Re: punk pulled chicken
I do pulled pork in a crockpot then use my vacuum sealer without the vacuum to seal. I save these as they are good for camping, I use mine on the boat all I have to do is heat it in water to eat and it saves on dirty dishes when out boating or camping.

That Brown bird looks mighty tasty. Have been sitting in the pub for the last 5 hours so the drizzle it f...ed
Re: punk pulled chicken
The chicken really picked up the light malt flavour very well and loads of the pepper notes. There's some very light hops knocked out by the peoper. Over all quite dry in texture but I blame that on over cooking. Next time I will opt for a hoppier beer.
