Bacon tomato Sammich

Post by frodo »

ok, you all know how to smoke a fatty?

pound of bulk sausage, flattened out, what ever you want piled up

roll it up in a roll.

HERE is frodo Style

after you roll it up, weave a pound of bacon, wrap it in that. tooth picks hold in place

no tin foil, put on smoker..

Frodo I will take one of those! Have a glass of sweet tea to go with it? How about a slice of Vidalia sweet onion?
Bear the bacon has been fried. Frodo did a good job of keeping it flattened. The microwave will cook it like that also.

Big ole thick slice of fried baloney might go good with that too - and maybe that slice of Vidalia onion Flatwoods mentioned. Or, maybe that would be too much goodness dancin' on the tongue. I'd eat it just the way Frodo's got it laid out there with a cold beer to wash it down.

That looks delicious! We had tomatoes all the time growing up but I can't keep a garden with my damn busy work schedule, plus the wife hates them!

Get some thick cut bacon. Mix a bowl up with some corn meal, bit of brown sugar, dash of black pepper. Coat the bacon. Bake it in oven on a rack with pan beneath until golden at 350f. Try that on a BLT. Or just as-is.

I use about 1/4 cup cornmeal, 1/8 cup brown sugar, and tablespoon of black pepper. But adjust to your own taste.

Try it on a BLT. The cornmeal gives a nice crunch and flavor. Bit of sweet from brown sugar. Sometimes gotta use some egg, depends on the bacon. Nice thing is you can mix it up to suit you...sometimes a dash of cayenne to kick it up, or spice of your choice. Bacon candy! Mmmmmmmm........you either love bacon, or you're wrong.
