Wow, Frodo, I have great envy for you and your fig tree! I bet that cobbler is wonderful.
I can't believe another year has gone by so fast, and here I am not able to make good on my threat of coming down there to pick a fig my ownself:

MichiganCornhusker wrote:Fine, indeed. Boy howdy I do like fresh whole figs, one of my favorite things in the world. Seems like they have a lifespan of about 20 hrs after being picked, so we don't see too many up here in Michigan.
Maybe I plan to be down around your place next summer, right about this time next year, eh Frodo?? Sounds so good!

That was from this time last year. I'm going to double down and get myself a 2017 calendar right now and ink in that trip for next July!
Good to see you posting up again Frodo, see you next summer.
Shouting and shooting, I can't let them catch me...

:esurprised: You have my attention :D I want to do something with figs but when I bought a fig tree it died and I can't get permission to pick the only one I know of. My wife would just take them away from me and use them for cobbler or preserves anyway  Plus I'm up to my ears in apples right now.
Sometimes I pretend to be normal but it gets boring so I go back to being me
