I didn't see any medicinal recipes here and I figured I'd post some.
Some of these are old mountain medicines and some are newer but I make and use all of them and I will add more as I find the time.

Headache Gel \ sinus unstuffer \ pain linament
DO NOT DRINK!!!
1.) Take 2 pints 100-150 proof neutral spirit and 2 or 3 camphor blocks
2.) Put em in a pot and heat em until the camphor dissolves
3.) stir it up and jar it
4.) when you get a headache dab some on your temples.
5.) when you get a cold or stuffy nose just open the jar and breath it.
6.) It also works as a super strong vapo rub
7.) Mix it with your foreshots and it works good as a pain linament

Heartburn fixer \ Infection killer
Must be prepared fresh, I have used this to fix gum and sinus infections many times
1.) Mix 1/4 pint of 100-150 proof neutral spirit and 1/2 pint Aloe Vera Juice
2.) steep 1 tps garlic and 1 tsp basil leaf in 1/4 pint boiling water
3.) Mix Everything together
4.) add 1 tps peppermint oil
5.) stir and drink
6.) do this twice a day
