Bear River Apple Pie
12 quart sized mason jars
6 quarts neutral
8 quarts clarified apple juice
1/3 cup molasses
3 teaspoon whole allspice
1-1/2 tablespoon whole cloves
6 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 orange peel without the white pith
Fill each mason jar with 420ml neutral alcohol.
Add all of the ingredients (except the alcohol) to a large stock pot and bring it to a boil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain this mixture to remove the bulk of the spices.
Use the hot cider to top off each jar then immediately apply the lids. Store away from light and heat.
Enjoy any leftover hot cider if there is any.
