Kansas clean distilled whisky?

Post by Prairiepiss »

I found a bottle of this on the shelf the other day. It kind of disturbed me. But also intrigued me. If I remember correctly the bottle said something about it being a mix of aged whisky and a neutral spirit. But the website says its just a whisky ran through a reflux column for a near vodka whiskey? The color is a very faint brownish yellow. Actually looks like crap to me. Clear but the color is just not right. Simple bottle very little markings. To show the color. Or lack there of. All they had was a fifth. A little in the pricey side. So I was hesitant to buy at that time. I plan to buy a bottle soon. Just to try it. But I thought I would share with you all. And see what you all thought about it. To me it looks like a marketing gimmick to get the non whiskey drinkers to drink it. Or maybe a failed attempt to make a vodka. So they are just trying to sell it as lite whiskey. The website says its made with winter wheat? But I thought the bottle said just grain no mention of wheat. If it would have said wheat on it I would have bought it.

All and all it just kinda looks like someone trying to get into the trendy spirits market. I mite just be pissed because they took my idea to market. Before I did.
