The problem is people hosting them offsite. HD would STRONGLY like to recommend that all pix posted to the forum, be uploaded to the forum itself. That way, we do not end up with all of these broken links.

It appears that photoshack (or something like that), recently changed policy, and dumped a bunch of 'non-pro' level users pix. Sux, but that is the way it is. Upload your pix to the forum itself, and these problems will not happen.

No, since we have gone to the newer version of phpBB that allows good inline picture handling, we would MUCH rather have them uploaded to a thread, than offsite hosted. Once on site, they stay 'stuck'. It does kick up the bandwidth some, but the pix will not end up as broke X's.

We are looking (still) at adding a proper image host and photo book to the site, but have not gotten that done. Uploading pix to a thread is not the ideal (it WOULD be better, if we could get the image host ON HD done, and then link from there), but we are not there. Still, if you upload to a thread, it is better than offsite hosting.

No sirree. Like Husker said, we definitely prefer they were uploaded to HD.
