Look up 999. Great punk band from the 70's.
Angel City as well although they leaned more to rock. They were old school AC/DC before we had ever heard of AC/DC.

My favorite music is classic rock (Zeppelin, The Stones, Jimi etc) but I live all music. Right this moment is a little Prodigy. For all you old fogies google them. I wont put a video up cause i cant find a censored version.

Made a special trip up to Renton while in Seattle a couple years ago for one purpose. At first I just wanted to get a few pics. The longer I stood there the more of an experience it became. Humbling

Dude! where in renton is that???

i went to a school that was across the street from the church his funeral was at south shore middle school and also Rainier beach high school for a year... but he went to franklin high school. his half sister was in school same time as i was...

what a trip...

i remember the first time i saw and became aware of Jimi.... my mom loaded all us kids into a station wagon and we went to a drive in theater in Ellensburg ... and we watched the woodstock movie.... the end when Jimi played blew me out of my 11 year old mind. and we had that album at the house ... i played it over so many times i was surprised the groves in the album dint wear into ruts and cut off the disk.... hot summer in a farm house near the Sorenson's dairy farm on Kittitas highway... what a time...

none of my friends could understand when i would try to explain Jimi Hendrix ... or when i heard dark side of the moon when it came out i heard the album played on a Canadian station one night ... no one could grasp it... frank zappa he blew my mind about the same time also.... no self respecting 12 year old in 1973 knew or heard of these folks ... but time fixed that.

whew... what a rush of old memories flooding out of the cobwebs of my mind... forgot they were there...

cheers

I usually listen to bluegrass, classic rock, acoustic. Used to be a big metal head/ rocker back in the early days. Raised up on led zeppelin, black sabbath and the who records. I don't usually listen to rap, but I like this guy:

Using YouTube tags has been discussed here in the forums... Essentially, you click on the utube tag in the full editor and place just the video code, the part after the = towards the end of the URL, between the tags... Done...

Like [_utube_]DqXOFHJe0Wk[_/utube_] but without the underscores...

Dang Rad ... never heard of these guys but that was nice... that tune hit a string that vibrated though me... gave me the goose bumps.... been there done that... in a way....

FRODO I just dug out some of my ZZtops this last week and was rocking out i love their blues and the earlier tunes mostly ...

Some of Charlie Daniels stuff had that bluesy country southern rock sound that is always great and i always liked the Jazzy blend that Marshal tucker band brought to the table....

and then lately i have been working with Mozart playing in the background... followed by roscoe holcombe then some indian electronica, followed by some big band Jazz
HAHAHA a classic example of Attention Deficit Disorder.... its amazing how diverse the world of music is , and i love the fact that some tunes have been a go to for special occasions for over 200 years... others i dont know... but it is an amazing thread of our humanity that ties us to each other and to our ancestors

hope you all have a great day...

This is one of my best tracks ever, I think it had a decent shot at going viral, and *just* as I was about to release it the whole Cosby scandal hit:

Frodo,
i was just singing my best leon redbone immitation to some younger co-workers today... they never heard of him, tonight i open up here and see the vibe musta been ringing through the universal music vibe of our HD connection

he really has a unique sound..

the last blues i spent money on was with this group that it turns out are 2 brothers and a sister...

this song was the first one i heard from them and the way she nails it i was sold instantly,

i would console her any time she needs it heheh just sayin....

nice stuff Frodo i love the roots stuff like that... my first instrument was a harmonica... when i was 12 i bought a blues harp book that had the little plastic 45 sized record thing that you could tear out of the book and play on your phonograph... it was like the distant light i knew i had to follow.... i discovered James cotton when i was working on a construction job a dude was blasting his music on the neighborhood... got the name of James cotton blues band so ran up town portland oregon in 1979 found a record store that just happened to have some of his music.... i had a cassette deck in my 62 buick le sabre and some speakers in the back window from an old radio shack record player i salvaged .... man could that music scream as i cruised the country roads in my smooth riding sled... cotton would howl on that harp it was crazy ... i was a misfit because everyone else was listening to kiss or journey.... i was out in the left field somewhere Blues, bluegrass, frank zappa, and switched on bach.... i loved it all.... so 7 years later i am living in cotati california in sonoma county and a place called the cotati caberet has James cotton booked for the night .... i was there an hour early... there was maybe 10 of us there in the whole place... what a treat....

so now i am checking out harps again... hmmm 7 piece set of seydel harmonicas on ebay ... price is high but man... i miss my harmonicas...
