I just bought 12 1/2 gallon oak barrels for aging and gifts for 38 or so bucks apiece. Hopefully tomorrow I get a good deal on a used truck. I found a 2004 F350 with 135,000 miles. The dealer bought it and we agreed on 12K then we figured out the engine was going. So he had it rebuilt. Hopefully the 12K still stands. Already planning bulletproof mods for it and dont even have it yet. Traded a $600 dollar used para double stack 1911 I hated for an $1100 HK USP Expert because the guy really liked the idea of a double stack 1911.

Frodo check armslist.com I found a bunch but you would have to ship VIA FFL. I buy my barrels from Ebay, Arts and Crafts of Mexico. High quality and the more you buy the cheaper they are. I think its like 70 or so for one, but I buy a bunch at a time they are great going away gifts for work. Thats why I bought so many. I am leaving so the all the guys I like get one. He also burns logos and such on for a reasonable fee.

I'm gonna go try and score a deal selling aircraft grade aluminum I have in the form of a sailboat mast. Boom, crossbars etc and use what they give me to buy all the 2inch copper pipe I can get.

I need some 3" copper. I have a small (2 liter I think), Buffalo Trace barrel. I put hot water in it and after a week it was still dripping a little from the bottom. I didn't want to worry about losing product, so I emptied it again and it now serves as decoration. I've been using charred sticks with good results, so I'll... stick... with that :)

I can't believe nobody has gotten any good deals since April 5th.

Well I kind of got a good deal on a 16 or 18Qt SS pot that I plan on making into a press basket for apples. I also ordered a 24 X 36" sheet of .024 stainless steel to use in the range vent hood I am making but what arrived was 2 sheets of 30 X 36" .032. I didn't want .032 because I don't have anything at home that can cut it so I am going to have to take it to work to make the hood. Don't know exactly what to do with the second piece, I'm thinking of rolling it into a tube and replacing the plastic bucket in my apple chopper with it.

I picked up some corn last week, $6 a bag.
Usually I get my corn on the cobs, for $7 or $8, in 50# bags, ending up with around 45# of corn after shelling.

The stuff I got for $6 was already shelled, and the bag actually weighed in at 55#, so that's my best corn score to date.

reluctant to post good deals.

heres why..

I posted about a good deal on 2'' copper unions. some of you guys bought a bunch of them.

I guess the company figured it was to good a deal and the fother mucken price jumped up by $10.00 each

LOL>>>

I like to use silver solder instead of 95/5 lead free http://store.cyberweld.com/tusi0brrodsf.html

this product, is very affordable,, it is NOT for filing BIG gaps like 15% will do
it will fill in small cracks melting point is less than 15%
so far, I am liking it

Moving my Mother-in-Law to assisted living she gave me this expensive scale she had her interior decorator purchase in Italian. I believe in late 1960's she paid over $200 for it. Can't find a brand but on the stem the stamp K*1867*R, anyone have a clue of the brand. She thought it was used to measure cheese :D

I wasn't going to say anything about this but what the hell  A while back I was given 125 LBS of food grade citric acid that was about to be thrown out. I passed most of it on to somebody who had more use for it than myself but kept 25# for future cleaning runs and whatnot. I figure 25# is enough for a lifetime for me.

Edited: Where the hell did that zero come from? Anyway it was 125#

53 gallon sour mash Bourbon barrel for free. It was in a friends barn and he said take it. Not the purdiest but its mostly holding water. Not bad for being in a barn empty for who knows how long(20+years). And its smelling half decent also.
Gonna use it for a fermenter. If it seals up fully. But I bet corn mash will plug any holes.

Barrel has a few worm holes but it is slowing down on the leaking. I'm bettin that the first mash that is cooked in it will finish sealing it up if it don't fully seal in the next week.

I heard that also but I'm jot sure how it would hold up to mash being cooked with steam for 1 1/2 hours. If corn flour don't get it sealed up I'll use the staves for aging in glass.

2005 Landtrac 300 Tractor with Howse bush hog. Tractor is 4x4, shuttle clutch, 4cyl Misibishi, 734 hours on it, ag tires. Compliments my Landtrac 280, 1998, 780 hrs with turf tires, 4x4. Paid $12.5k for mine in 1998. Got the 300 for $2700! Now I need a loader for it that will cost almost more than half of what I paid for it!

At a garage sale, I picked up two 24" pieces of 3" stainless tubing with sanitary fitting on both ends. I got the pair for $20.00.

I found out later that they also have a 36" and a 42ish" piece of 3" with fittings for which they want $30.00 apiece.
