I just got a $50 apple tree at Lowe's for $12.50, if I had more room I would have bought everything they had. I'm hoping one day to not have to pick my apples on public land while fighting blackberries to get them. :D

I got a 40# bag of deer corn at Walmart today for $5.00. Might go back for more if the "gredder" works out OK. Also picked up a 50# bag of barley at SS for $4.27 (8.54 cents/lb.).

Pear grappa?

I picked up a 6 gallon glass carboy today for $10.00. Don't really need it, but couldn't pass it up for the price. Bought it at an antique shop of all places. The SOH and I were out thrift store shopping today and just happened into the antique shop. When you see "antiques" written anywhere on the building, you can usually count on paying top dollar.

Maybe I'll use it for a WPOSW. Make some neutral for a few liqueurs, or maybe Odin's easy gin.

great deal there jedneck  I'm still upset about losing that 5 gallon bucket of pears I let spoil and most pear trees around me lost all their blossoms in a spring storm and didn't produce many. I really wanted to do a pear brandy too, hopefully next year.

I put the sheet metal in the shop rafters.
The two copper coils are going to be used.
