When you know you've done good

Little or nothing to do with distillation.

When you know you've done good

Postby Coyote » Tue Apr 03, 2012 8:23 am

So on Sunday I was making up a batch of my sort of famous Whiskey/BBQ Dutch Oven Pulled Pork and ask my wife to hand me some
whiskey.

She looks at the shelf and leaves the room.

Comes back a moment later with a new 1/2 er of Black Velvet Reserve. Has always been one of her favorites.

I says "Honey why not just use some of the home brew?"

She stopped in her tracks and looked at me then said " I can get more of this anytime, I had to wait a year to get the good stuff"

I was blown away and happily surprised.

Me thinks me done good

Great feeling ain't it?

My wife did about the same thing. It just wasn't cooking. It was some good friends over for dinner. I asked her later why. She said we didn't have enough to go around. Make more.

Yep Piss
I have been making whiskey for several years and have it stored aging away.

She had discovered a cranberry liqueur made by Clear Creek in Portland, so I
decided to try and make her some, so I set up to make some Birdwatcher's.

Must have been having a Sr. moment ( and at such a young age) started 2 tubs and had to split it into 3
then did 2 more - Double stilled ended up with 4 gallons at 80% cut it back to 80 proof.

She asked if vodka was just that much easier to make or did I have a huge stash of whiskey aging
So I took her to the 3 of the 4 aging locations and showed her what I had been up to . . . ....

She says YEA !!!!!!
