Got any grape liqueur recipes?

Post by luther-blissett »

Found two recipes for grape liqueur but would like some more. Anyone have any recipes for grape liqueur or tips on what they did? Both recipes I found ask that you put the grapes in the alcohol whole. Wouldn't it go much faster chopping the grapes up?

The man bangin' on the door yelled "Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms!"....I just assumed it was more supplies.

I used to mix white grape juice (muscat was a favorite) 50/50 with 40%abv neutral spirit. Made a great fake ice-wine like flavor. Only problem was oxidation- if I didn't add winemaker's sulfite, it would turn brown, and taste kind of like sherry (losing all of the fruit flavor).

sounds good though, I always wanted a fake substitute for ice-wine or dessert wine. I once tried to fake a dessert wine with red grape juice and neutral but though I accidentally made it too weak Ive never seen it change color or look off?
