The first few paragraphs of UJSSM:

uncle jesse's simple sour mash method
by Uncle Jesse » Mon Feb 28, 2005 2:47 pm

i'd appreesheeate enny comments on this, especially ways in which i need t'simplify thin's o' explain thin's mo'e clearly.

http://wiki.homedistiller.o'g/Uncle_Jesse%27s_Simple_Sour_Mash_Method" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

This hyar method was origeenally taken fum J.W. Walstad's book Simple Sour Mash t'Simple Alcohol Fuel! Fry mah hide! an' has been modified acco'din' t'mah experiences.

This hyar method is the dawgoned-est inexpensive ah have foun' fo' producin' Co'n Likker. It is puffick fo' beginners on account o' it does not rely on skill fo' mashin' an' does not require enny cookin' which greatly redooces th' hassles an' expenses.

ah used this hyar method fo' years until ah mastered th' processes involved in creatin' a quality sour mash likker, at which point ah moved on t'cooked mashes an' mo'e advanced effo'ts.

Ingredients

Fo' a 5 gallon mash: (~19 liters)
5 gallons sof', filtered water.
7 lbs (3.2kg) cracked co'n, as enny fool kin plainly see. 6-8 pieces/kernel is th' right crack. Shet mah mouth! Eff'n usin' bird feed, make sho'nuff it is perishable, o' in other wo'ds is free of preservatives.
7 lbs (3.2kg) of granulated sugar.
1 tbsp yeast (distillers yeast eff'n available.)

I wish I would have seen this thread before wishing T-Pee and OlympicMTDoo happy birthday, now that would have been fun maybe translating a Dr. Seuss birthday greeting.

Just had a bit of fun with 2 famous American speeches:

Less not waller in th' valley of despair, ah say t'yo' today, mah friends.
An' so even though we face th' difficulties of today an' t'morry, ah still haf a dream, dawgone it. It is a dream deeply rooted in th' South Car'linan dream, dawgone it.
ah have a dream thet one day this hyar nashun will rise up an' live out th' true meanin' of its creed: "We hold these truths t'be se'f-evident, thet all min are created equal, ah reckon.

We choose t'go t'th' moon, as enny fool kin plainly see. We choose t'go t'th' moon in this hyar decade an' does t'other thin's, not on account o' they is easy, but on account o' they is hard, on account o' thet goal will sarve t'o'ganize an' measure th' bess of our inergies an' skills, on account o' thet challenge is one thet we is willin' t'accepp, one we is unwillin' t'postpone, an' one which we aim t'win, an' t'others, too.
