I have a keg boiler with a single plate flute sitting on a thumper on electric. I don't use a controller so maybe bring a controller. If we do a run I'm thinking everybody bring a jug of their favourite ferment. My rig will not due neutral, I ran stuff three times with cuts each time and it still has lots of flavour. I'm gonna try having a brandy or ag ferment. Either way it would be flavourful.

Guys, love the enthusiasm, but I feel it might be best to keep to the focus on what the event really is about, at least publicly. A gathering of like minded folks that just want to get together to enjoy a meal and a drink together.

Let's see if I can goose eye it up a little-

dam fool tellin' ol' girl
bout when the misses is
'em boys be sayin we get em all
have laugh over dinner

So i'm tole
"Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond."

Good point shine. Told the missus of the house the run plan and she wasn't very keen on the idea. But a meal and drinks is still on. It would be a lot of work for me to with cooking a spread. I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the run.
And if anybody has any food allergies let me know so it can be planned for.

Still in the air for me . Would likely be only a day trip for me and SOH and a covered dish if we could make it . MIL's estate is consuming a lot of time and there's always the weather issue . An early snow fall would have me confined to the home front feeding cows .
>I do think not planning to light a fire under a boiler is a good plan . Awful risky for a lot of people to get burnt by accident .
If you ain't the lead dog in the team , the scenery never changes . Ga Flatwoods made my avatar and I want to thank him for that .
Don't drink water , fish fornicate in it .

Will you be posting pictures of the event (faces excluded) Jed?

Just did a quality check on the dinner feast bottle. Its 66% corn 20% malted red wheat 14% oats lightly oaked and 4 months old. Sweet smooth no bite little burn when it hits bottom.

I've got a nice jar of smoked taters that might go well with that corn, Jed, looking forward to finding out. :D

Jed, can't wait to try that. I'm bringing my wheated bourbon and maple spirit, both of which will be finished up in the next 3 weeks. Maybe some neutrals if I can squeeze a run in.

This is going to be so much fun! As I will only have my first 6 month aged product to bring, it will be my "Generations I", an all feints run from UJ 1-3. I tasted it, err, tested it tonight, and it turned that 3 month corner and became magical :). So, this particular batch will be 5 months when it's time, but should be quite nice. To help balance, I just put some jars of Apple pie up in the attic to flavor for the next week, And age over the next month. Between the 2, I hope to bring positive additions to the table.

So, S-Cac and Rad, how's that weekend shaping up for you? Would be great to be able to meet you guys as well. :D

Just got a pm from moosemilk saying that he want to send a lemon syrup that is an old family recipe. And archery season opened today so hopefully I'll be able to get a venison roast to go along with the feast.
What time is everyone thinking of getting here. And what time would work best for Eating the feast.

I can work around about any schedule for that day, Jedneck, just ring the dinner bell and I'll come runnin'. I guess I was thinking it would be a later afternoon feast, arriving earlier to meet and greet. As host, I think you can set the times that work best for you. I'm just looking forward to the day! :D

Early afternoon is most likely when I'd be rolling in. I'm about 5 hours out... probably hit the road about 7:00 am.

2 questions:
What can I bring to help out with food?
Is there a good spot to pitch a tent?

If you can just bring a covered dish, your choice.
There is a spot for a tent but it mite get cold, we have plenty of room in the house.

That sounds fun, and I'll bet the eating will be wonderful.

Trouble is I am another 14 hours west of Woodshed

Guess we'll just have to kill the fatted calf here this year

Sampled the single wheat malt aged on toasted chard and soaked in blackberry wine white oak. Gotta tell the wife to hide the last pint so I can share.
Can one of the mods change the title of the thread to

15 November, I can do that Jed. I'll bring a little AG wash, an maybe a dinner dish too. You planning on cooking any kind of a theme to feed the masses Jed? If so, let me know, and I'll bring a side dish or something.

Boom going for a yraditional thankgiving feast. Roast chicken, venison roast mash taters gravy, green bean casserole, baked corn, and bread. Most of what I am making is gonna be home raise or home grown.
Due to the amount of work I'm gonna have cooking the feast I don't think that we will do a run though.

OK Jed,

Give me a headcount 3 days out, and I'll make bread. I'm partial to a whole/multi-grain recipe, and if there are no - gluten allergies, it'll fit right into your menu. As for size of our party, I'm thinking the Lady Di & me, my son Clancy and his goddess of a wife, with your permission of course.

This ought to be fun!

Alright, I'll go first. I'm planning on being there around noon. Leave here by 8, just around four hours away. I figured we would eat an early "supper" around 4, but a 2 o'clock "fiesta" or a later 6 "dinner" suits me fine.

Jed, if still invited, I Would like to plan on staying over the night, as to not have to worry about driving. It'll be just me for the trip.
