New Zealand honeymoon

So my wife and I are heading to NZ for about two weeks around Christmas. We had these grand plans to travel through both islands, but decided against it and have settled on staying in Queenstown and the surrounding area for the whole time.

I figured we might have a couple members here on the HD forums that have some advice to a couple yanks headin to the southern hemisphere.

Any thoughts on what we can't miss while were down there?

I've heard Queenstown is a nice place. Never been there ( I live in the north island.) hope you two enjoy your stay here.
