forum noob question

I want to put some links in my signature like other users have but can't figure out how to make the link the title of the thread. It always shows up as the url or a "view topic" link. How do I put links in with thread titles to click on?

This is exactly how mine is typed into the "Edit Signature" box in my "User Profile" area:

You could leave out the "list" code. The only purpose it serves in my current signature is to indent the link.
