I am gonna include a glass slide -- guitar strap -- will find a pick or two or three to include. My favorite slide is the "stubby slide (shane speal idea)" 3/4 inch craftsman socket(3/8drive) --

Wow, congrats Windy! Awesome build and for the right reasons too, good on you too Pye!

Oh, I use a 3/4 shallow socket but 1/2 drive as it fits my 3rd finger better than 3/8's does.

This site and it's people are just excellent!

Thanks goinbroke -- Actually, I think the one I use is 1/2inch -- and is one I had in my toolbox. Had to buy my son a 3/8 -- if I remember correctly.

Ok one final thanks from me to Windy City -- and all of you folks. I have to add this because DAMN! When Windy City went to donate his winning bid -- he added $100 to his $400 bid -- and donated $500 instead.

Amazing fella -- your guitar and amp shipped out -- and is heading your way!

So cool Windy! Just today got back online and am looking forward to seeing that beauty at S3.
You truly represent the best of HD. As does Pyewacket. Humbled to be in such presence even if it is online. For now.

I came home today to a very nicely packaged box on my front porch
As a mater of coincidence Jimbo was also coming to visit tonight for a tasty beverage.
What was in the box was a true piece of art and after a few minutes of strumming Jimbo said it was inspirational
So here the pic.

Pye, Im blown away. The playability , intonation, sound everything is NOTHING short of truly inspirational! Absolutely amazing. In 3 minutes I came up with a ditty on it. In 30 I cant put it down. Holy shit. How you got them frets dead on an action so nice is crazy. And that says nothing to the beautiful artistic craftsmanship. Amazing. Really.

That right there is cool and I must admit to being a little jealous.
Windy, your are the man! Jimbo, you lucky DAWG.
Pyewacket, inspirational for sure. Did not plan on playing tonight but that fired me up. May only play 3 strings all night.

Wow, you guys just made my day. I was worried that it wouldn't get there in one piece -- I have only shipped one of these out -- to my brother.

Windy, thanks again for making this possible!

Jimbo, I was hoping that this would get in your hands. I was also worried that it would get in your hands -- because there really are no rules in building these things. You have scraps to put together -- and you hope that it makes a reasonable sound. Bottom line, I was a bit worried it would not meet your standards.

If you ever do record anything, I would love to hear it! Man would I...

Just seen this earlier and thought to myself, "there really is no rules to building one of these guitars"

Had to share.

I have kept an eye on this, just because it's cool as all get out. (And I can barely play the radio). :wtf:
Great instrument, great cause, great people.
Between this and baby bald eagle's and a little talk about likker, reckon this site has me hooked.
Simple Lil' Pot Still, no temp guage, no carbon, no scrubbers, nuthin' fancy. Sometimes use a thumper, sometimes don't.
