Re: What's happening?
At work now (nightshift), but before I left home I milked my dog!
Whoa now hold on, Let me explain!!!
Our female Havanese/Maltese (about 9 pound dog) had her litter of four about 5 weeks ago. She's done really well but I noticed her panting and really uncomfortable tonight. I discovered two of her teats were hard as a rock from not being emptied or a blockage. (mastitis) So I filled up a balloon with hot tap water and made a compress. I then manually milked her like a cow. After let down I got her squirting milk about three feet in the air. Not one of my proudest moments but it got the job done and relieved the pressure. I might have to add that to my resume!

You ever get to drinking later in the evening and then think what you ought to do is start a plumbing project at home?
Now I got no shower.
It's still happening.

Re: What's happening?
Readying for evacuation due to a wildfire just over the ridge. Just got back from moving horses to friend's place the next valley over.
Fire is just over the north ridge 1800 acres and 0% containment. We're ok for now. There's a steady stream of fire helis hitting the local lake for water bombing.
I'm glad I designed and installed a five head rainbird sprinkler system for the roof of the house just a week and a half ago.
Today's family bbq must go on however. We do have our priorities, ya know.

good luck T-Pee.
I rolled out all my firehose today so if or when some asshat celebrating his independence,
lights my little piece of desert on fire I am at least a leg up. when the race is over
I will precharge them and cut pressure so there is no wait for charging just repressure.
thecroweater; congrats on the new addition. sometimes the pitter patter of little feet
sounds good just trailing away.

Re: What's happening?
Reality is sinking in. Woke up at quarter to 6 this morning, wondering what we're going to do with all the barrels we used for fermenting, and the SS Fuji cans we use for collecting and diluting, and the bottles, and the bottling unit, and the filter unit, and the other 1000 little things we bought...
Just made the coffee, and will read the paper, maybe that will ease my labored mind.
Have a great holiday week end.
Boom
