YouTube is in dire need of accurate and safe information for aspiring hobby distillers. There's way too much content providing the exact opposite right now.

Yeah I agree,
There is some bad advice out there. But I think to add to that sometimes amazing content is presented in average / low / old school youtube standard of production. People judge stuff within a few seconds. It doesn't matter if you have good info. If your video aesthetics and audio is sub par people will associate the content as being the same. ESPECIALLY if they are new to a topic.

Thanks for the feed back man :)

I have pretty much desided to go ahead with this. I will give it a rip for a while and see what the response is like. Its going to take me a while to get equipment and content togeather though, so expect to see videos going up in about a month.

Numerous 57L kegs, some propane, one 220v electric with stilldragon controller. Keggle for all-Grain, two pot still tops for whisky, a 3" reflux with deflag for vodka. Coming up, a 4" perf plate column. Life is short, make whisky and drag race!

Nice that you're in NZ where many of the issues are avoided that the rest of us would potentially have to do with it.

I myself have a semi-popular YouTube channel for another type of hobby. I thought of branching out to doing a distilling one, but I'm pretty on the fence about it for now as I wouldn't want myself identified, but on the other hand I don't think I could make a quality video without showing my face.

Best of luck! Good first video so far.

Seriously, excellent start, looking forward to more and possibly contributing some day.

Rad said,'i like the logo but i would put a period or comma or what ever it takes to break up the words at the top'.

Or maybe just an extra space or even a half space would look better?

Thanks for the tip guys. I did have a play with it a few weeks back when other people suggested it above. Typographically I totally agree, couldn't get it to work graphically though :(

And needed to lock something in fast to use on logo sting etc.
