Any distillery worth visiting in Greece?

Little or nothing to do with distillation.

Any distillery worth visiting in Greece?

Post by Drynk »

I'm going in Greece in september, i'd like to add a distillery to my visit list, that's and old country, so i'm telling myself that, there must be an old distillery or two. Google gave me Barbayannis Ouzo Museum, Ouzo Plomari Isidoros Arvanitis Distillery and Canava Santorini Distillery there might be others i'll probably can't see more than one. I'd appreciate any input from someone who's been there. I believe that there is things the homedistiller might enjoy that most people could not enjoy fully.

if your going to be in Athens id recommend hitting up Brettos not a distillery as such but you can buy ouzo from the cask, has a wide range of panty droppers and you can sit puffing a Cuban next to the no smoking sign( or could when I was there).

I land at Athens, i'll probably drop by and buy a few bottles for the trip. I've just searched some more and found http://www.karonis.gr/about_en.html, it seems a nice distillery to me, i think that will be it.
