Last Christmas I wanted to learn how to make whiskey and had fallen into the turbo yeast trap.
I had found the parent site here and saw a pressure cooker still that made sense. It was yet to be a while before I discovered the forum.
When I finally did, nothing you S.O.B.s were on about made any sense to me. Took me a while to get my mind right.

Now a year later, I have a proper still and dumped the turbo. 75% of the conversations still go over my head though.
But all in all I'd say with 2 days left until this Christmas, I already have my wish and then some.

So Merry Christmas back at you Worm... and to the rest of you ladies and gentlemen.

And to Uncle Jesse, I'm going to start paying my way once I get past the Christmas bills.

Looking back 5-6 years I always had something to do with the hobby on my Christmas list. A Monster Mill 2, gift card to our local brew store, 8 gallon stainless steel kettle with ball valve spigot, fermenting vessels, etc. This is the first Christmas in years I haven't had any of Stillin items on my list. What is on your Christmas list?

I was asking for a truck specific GPS but they are pretty expensive so not holding my breath, my parents were asking me about dehydrators a few times over the last few months so I have a feeling the wife has been looking at one of those for me. That'll come in handy, I love jerky and borrow a friend's machine every year to make 30-40lbs of moose and black bear jerky.

Happy holidays to all of you and once again, thanks for making HD the quality place it is.

Been a couple of years since I did any runs. Almost have all the requisite equipment gathered up, and plan to go strong for a while during 2018! Seeing all of your stories keeps me motivated.

Too much IT, and not enough booze. You need to correct that. :)

C'mon over and maybe I can get you motivated again.

Honey glazed ham, cranberry sauce, sweet potato souffle, and pecan pie. Im a physical wreck. If I can make it to the New Year without becoming a diabetic I will resolve to put all of the above into a 5 gallon bucket and toss yeast upon it. The distilled result will probably taste better than I feel right now.

Im half scared to fall asleep for fear of not waking up.

Merry Christmas to you all.

A couple days ago the weatherman said "I'm not saying it couldn't happen but a white Christmas is highly unlikely" I looked out the window a few minutes ago and the world is blanketed in white  Looks like the weatherman got that one wrong. Merry Christmas everybody.

Merry Christmas, or whatever holiday you partake in. Snows a flying here (already white), sent the kids and grandkids home with cookies and carrots for Santa and the reindeer.

New year

Post by ausibatla »

Firstly I would like to say I hope everybody had a merry Christmas.
Not a merry Holiday but a merry Christmas. If that offends anybody then stiff shit.
Secondly, I would like to wish everybody a great new year. I hope it exceeds all
your expectations. Even those who had a merry holiday.
And lastly, I'll hear from you next year.
Cheers. :) :D
