I think alcolisism is defined when the consumption of alcohol interferes with your daily life. If that is the case then any remedy is worth while.

I'm certainly an alchoholic by all but the interfering with life definition.

I drink every day.

And have done for long time...decades...


I just don't have all the alchohol controlling my life issues, like having sickies, hiding alchohol, drinking at inappropiate times ect.

I don't have any problem with alcohol, it's without that creates issues for me :lol: :lol:

I've checked Wikipedia for the drug cited in the article, and it works by stimulating the same set of neuroreceptors that ethanol does, the GABA receptors.

So it's literally substituting one drug for another.

I've seen ad's for this book... Baclofen kinda sounds like an alcoholics version of methadone...

im a alcoholic. aint had a drink in 30 years. i used it to forget.
