If you are ever in the neighborhood, please check these guys out.
Davin's vodka is so unique. It is made from 100% honey.

The floral notes are absolutely amazing.
If you are in the neutral camp, you may find that this spirit is too fragrant or perhaps has a bit too much body.
But if you prefer that your vodka tastes like more than,,,,,,ethanol, this is a great choice for you.

In the beginning he would have rather not made vodka as such, but was afraid that his potential neighborhood customers would not understand what he was making unless he marketed as vodka.

Davin runs a 10 plate column and only makes one pass in order to insure that the floral notes of his honey carries over.
He is a silver medal winner at last year's ADI spirits tasting competition. A blind taste test.

He and his wife Kristen are very passionate about spirits.

Please check out 3bees vodka if you have a chance.

Here is another Distiller that started with humble beginnings just like all of you.
Bill is a retired phone technician. Like many of you, he wanted more and was not afraid to give it a shot.

He is also a medal winner at last years ADI competition and has also won at numerous other judging competitions.

If you are close by, I'm sure he would love to visit with you.

Here is another guy that has a great passion. Almost annoying he is so passionate.
Ben and his dad put everything into their little distillery.

Ben is a a great mechanic like so many of you. He built nearly everything in his distillery and tirelessly pounds the pavement to get his rum out there.
After about 3 years now he is finally getting some great notoriety as well as sales......that is the hard part.

Ben won a silver medal at ADI this past year for his spiced rum. Though for me, I wish I could make white rum as nice as Ben's.

Ben is absolutely making a premium product.

Dave is in Missouri for those of you in the area.

He won a silver medal for his corn likker in the moonshine catagory. He sources his corn locally.

They try hard every day.

Jamie Ray started as a beer maker and moved right into the spirits.

His moonshine has won several medals at various competitions.
He took a gold at the ACDA event in 2014

He runs a short two plated column to get the profile he is looking for.

Rumor has it that one of his team members came from the woods

I assume he is doing his very best to make an authentic product?

You're welcome Bear,

Dave and his team had a couple of medal winners at last year's ADI event.
They medal'd in two rum categories and the white whiskey category.

Evidently they have gained enough traction that they have to move into a bigger space this year. Good problems to have.

They are in Maine and do tours. I'm sure they would love to talk shop.

Maybe a legal operator near you would enter yours as their own?
