Barrels for Scotland!
Our cooperage is currently making a first batch of barrels for one of our Scottish distilleries. The pictures are a bit to big to upload. And making them smaller will take much of the fun of seeing how they are made away. So here is a link, if you want to see how we make them and how they look:

Very nice Odin, I could really use a 10 or 20L for my apple brandy .
Re: Barrels for Scotland!
Well, we have 10, 20, 30, 55, 110 and 225 liter versions. The issue is off course: how do we get them over in an economical way to North America? You'd pretty much need a sea container and that's a lot of them!

I wonder if a 20L would fit in an overhead bin as carry on luggage. I think the first checked bag is free too, add some kind of handle and you have a suitcase might be a good excuse to visit you Odin.

Oh yes, Odin,
please design a barrel, which complies with the carry-on baggage regulations.

Beautiful Odin, do you still have the same set-up for stacking the barrels as you had when you first started building barrels?

Yeah, that's true.....and the fact that it would be hard to compete with cooperages here since the white oak is so prevalent.Odin wrote:Well, we have 10, 20, 30, 55, 110 and 225 liter versions. Odin.
But here's an idea. Offer a free 20 ltr barrel with every Istill sold! Good sales incentive.
And, for the guy who came up with the idea......you could send him a little gift. Say, a 20 ltr barrel.

And Cranky: trade in those airmiles and fly over!
Yes Bushman, I do have that stacking system. Here's a picture.
