Re: need an alcohol transfer pump
Siphoning is probably the easiest solution if you can lift the 40-50% up high enough or lower the recepticle low enough. As a hobby stiller this should be your first option apart from using a funnell and pouring!
If you must, try food grade pumps for clear liquids at the industrial kitchen/food processor supplier, and the brew shop.
A non-lubricated food grade pump will be brass/stainless...and expensive.

Personally, I would try to make gravity work, as it is free.

stainless steel - and you are in luck, MoreBeer has stainless steel versions of the wort pump, or at least a stainless steel head that you can replace the "plastic" head with on the original wort pump. very nice pumps i might add. get a fan speed control and you can vary the speed instead of using a valve to throttle down the output.
i think they still have stainless steel tubing also. and valves and other bits.

i use corny kegs and rigged a copper tube outspout. just put in 1-2 psi CO2 or air and it works like a charm
store low wines in corneys till i have about 10 gallons then spirit run in the 15 gallon keg
