for the same price, you could get this https://www.amazon.com/DROK-Regulator-C ... B00BXUCWQG" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow It would have a little more margin, but you would have to add plug/socket (cut an extension cord). I have used them when I ran on 120V.

Would there not be under or overpowering issues with that one running a 1500w 120v element?

If the other one would work I'd rather get that than destroy an extension cord for this one haha.

The speed controller works but is more designed for brushless motors and not heating elements. I use them on the exhaust fans at work.

The SCR above is the same one I use.

Wouldn't it need some sort of housing around the contacts to not zap myself though?
