I found a nat. gas burner from a hot water heater. I have a gas line in my garage. would I need some sort of regulator between the two or can I use the shut off valve for adjustment?
I searched thru forum could not find answer.
Thanks and cheers, bship
Regulator needed?

Re: Regulator needed?
Should work as-is. The water heater burner was designed for full power or none, so you might have to make some air adjustments to get a decent flame at low power.

I would guess the shutoff isn't going to give you very fine control. A needle valve inline will help allot.

Re: Regulator needed?
if the water htr was for natural gas and you're hooking to nat, you're good to go. water heaters don't modulate the flame as the first reply said, it's either all on or all off. .
