T500 boiler drain

In our view 30 gallons and under is considered hobby size. Do not bring anything larger than this to our site.

T500 boiler drain

Post by Klein »

Hey everyone, thanks for all the help so far. I'm looking to replace the drain valve on my t500 boiler. I'd like to put a SS ball valve in its place. Has anyone here replaced their drain?

Google "stainless steel bulkhead fitting with ball valve" and it should get you close to what you want.

A while back I was reading a thread (here I believe) that showed a 90 degree copper elbow attached to the drain on the inside of the boiler. This was to be able to drain more out of the boiler without having to tip it out. Can't seem to find it anymore. If anyone remembers it, I'd love to read it again.
