Has any one....

In our view 30 gallons and under is considered hobby size. Do not bring anything larger than this to our site.

Has any one....

Post by Pooch »

Has anyone used these before? They are a double walled cryogenic tank that was used by a local medical supplier for liquid oxygen (labels still in tact). My local scrap dealer has a pile of them with more on the way. They are about as tall as a keg but narrower. I'd say 10 or 12 gallons. All stainless, weighs about 50#.[attachment=0]IMG_20170127_142216.jpg[/attachment

Moved to boilers for you. They look interesting, how much are they asking for them?

my local scrappy charges $1/ lb. for ss. you should be able to find a keg at that price.

they would work well for storage but so will a keg.

so if you own your own fab shop, and don't mind all the extra work

it will work for a boiler.

Thanks Bushman. Couple pennies over scrap, 50-60$. Just thought they were interesting. I have kegs and they work fine for me. Just was curious more than anything if anyone stumbled across these before and found a use for them. Always cool stuff at the recyclers.

+1 wish I had more time to get to the salvage/junk yard more often.
