Lewis & Clark (Research/History) Trivia

Postby sltm1 » Tue Mar 28, 2017 4:09 pm

I've been reading the diary's of the Lewis and Clarke expedition and they mention rewarding their crew on holidays or after a hard day's work, with a "Gill" of whiskey. Between the 3 English speaking countries, of America, Australia and England, depending in which country you're in, it's between a 1/4 and a 1/2 pint of spirits. Just thought you'd like to know.

Small reward for the brutal labor they undertook . I'm sure that any carrot beat getting hit with the stick .
If you ain't the lead dog in the team , the scenery never changes . Ga Flatwoods made my avatar and I want to thank him for that .
Don't drink water , fish fornicate in it .
