Lewis & Clark (Research/History) Trivia

Post by sltm1 »

I've been reading the diary's of the Lewis and Clarke expedition and they mention rewarding their crew on holidays or after a hard day's work, with a "Gill" of whiskey. Between the 3 English speaking countries, of America, Australia and England, depending in which country you're in, it's between a 1/4 and a 1/2 pint of spirits. Just thought you'd like to know.
