Jedfest sourmashed
Some may remember Jedfest. Sounds like the one in the house that is in charge might give her blessing for another event. If it happens it would be late summer early fall. If it does happen I am proposing that anyone willing do a similiar mash. This is what I'm thinking
A double malt bourbon (one has to be corn)using wild yeast running three gens on the origional yeast.
I will be doing 25# malted corn,5# malted white wheat and 5# rye. Fermented and distilled on the grain
No garantee that it will happen but wanna give time to get recipe done and aged if it does. Who's game?

Re: Jedfest sourmashed possible
As long as it isn't the second weekend of august I could make it out. No chance I'll have the skill to make a decent drop by then though.

Loki you might be surprised. This bill might be alittle much for you but pick a tried and true and you almost can't fail. One of my best runs I made was the first run of ujssm I ever did that was also my first oak aged product.

That is a safe bet, Jed.jedneck wrote: I bet MCH will be in also.
I had a ferment go off on its own a month ago and saved yeast in fridge.
If it will revive I already have a leg up! First thought is corn & taters...

In theory there's no difference between theory and practice. But in practice there is.

Got fair amount of room for tents, and big covered porch and plenty of floor space. Closest hotels are 30-45 mins away in Carlisle. Start spitin out dates and we will see if we can get one worked out.

Hey, Jed, what's the closet major airport?
I will say that I would imagine Allentown is the biggest I can think of. If anyone is flying in there, I got your ride. I live 20 minutes from there, and can pick anyone up, and offer a place to crash if flying in early. The day I head out, we can all car Pool out. I only live couple hours from him, anyways.
I should really take advantage of that soon...
