Sure wish I could but looking at a 22 hour drive all the way from the north. Not too mention we don't close up shop here until the end of October so it's a little hard to take off for a weekend. Hope everyone has a great time can't wait to hear about it.

Flatwoods gave me hell this week because he had to read the whole thread to find the party dates .
So , to accommodate the elderly and infirm I will post again :
September 8 to 11 , 2017 .
I'll bump this from time to time over the coming months because he will probably forget .

Got a line on a local t shirt provider . $13-22 depending on size and I can pick them up . He's working with his IT guy to set up online ordering like last year .
Will give you more when I find out more .

Hey Butch, Just curious but am I to assume your the driver in these pics? If so, who are the three monkeys?

The little dude with the hot rod reminds me of dads old R Crum, hot rod, and other "shop" magazines in the early 70s. Made me smile thinking of that.

'Stroker Ace was born to race
He had a mean streak ten feet wide

And more than his share of pride

And make a car dance across the mud
Haulin shine was his regular line
'Til the big trucks got in his blood
He was a real hot shot and he bragged a lot
But Man , that fool could drive
'Cause he loved the feel of a steering wheel and the girls with the bedroom eyes '

I like that second one. Can't wait to get together with the family again.

I'll be bringing a sample of the uj I've been making in white, and hopefully I'll have a bottle that's been oaked for a year.

Option One

Damn funny, dude put the supercharger on the roof!

rsz_1rsz_1rsz_rat_hitam.png
I'm still talking to the author on this one to add the supercharger and header outa the side of the engine area.

Does anyone like these ideas? Or just a plain S3 2017 logo?

Education track for S3/17 Truckorama

I'd like to start talking up some ideas for educating ourselves during this weekend.

1) CUTS Training has been very popular the last couple years

2) I'd like to bring a NIXON Stone Offset head and rig for a MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSON here to lead the training on how to run it properly.
That'd damn sure help me out a whole bunch.

- who might volunteer their expertise?

3) How about doing a full ALL GRAIN MASH cooking process tutorial? (bourbon mash bill) [hehehehehe !]
- help our UJSSM devotees to move up the foodchain.

4) What other ideas ?
-Just need something else to build. -

It's my intention to have at least one batch for a cuts seminar in half pint jars like last year .
Last year's blend has become very interesting and it was just an all feints run .
Again , I want to thank Varocketry for his above and beyond the call efforts on t-shirt design and procurement .
It's your party , folks . Ya gotta give us some input on what you desire .

Not only cuts, but also blending to make the final batch. I'd be interested to see how others decide what stays and what goes.

My 2 cents is suggestion 3 is dern lot better than 2, if things went pear shaped mashing "beer" won't make the Dominion Post

I have issues with discussions of a meeting that defines an illegal event. I'm just a simple guy that likes shine, and likes to drink with friends. I did not sign up for an active still.

I thought this was made clear with the previous comments, but it obviously didn't sink in.

Tell me now if this is the intended path, so I can choose my own path.

You're a good guy VA, but this is stupid. There are 51 other weekends that you can find a friend or class to sign up with to teach you how to run your still. This is supposed to be a fellowship weekend. Making beer and blending whiskey is alright and pretty legal. But leave the still home.
