Merry Christmas to all
Good luck to those with difficult relatives

And from your friendly neighborhood Scotsman, Happy Hogmanay (new years eve). Unfortunately for my pride, I'll have to give away a commercial bottle of Scotch (Bowmore 25yr) for the first footing this year rather than my own Scotch (which is still aging).
Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud
standard gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining rivers,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave!

Man, I know your pain. I just graduated. I had to take that Calculus class again to make it stick.

Christmas Eve here, been dark a couple of hours and got home an hour ago from making the rounds visiting family. Spent the night at my Dad's house and went to Church with him (he's 84 now and a veteran of 3 wars), then spent the day at my eldest Brothers house where the whole family gathered for good food and gift giving and a lot of hard ribbing.

Finally back in my castle letting my hair down a bit, and expecting the two grandchildren (boys 5 and 7 years old) to show up any time - to spend the night. It will therefore be an early Christmas Morning :D .

I am sitting here thinking it is a wonderful life.

Merry Christmas to All, and may your Christmas Morning be filled with the sound of young children tearing into presents!

goose eye: I have tried, but he doesn't much like to talk about it. I can get him going once in awhile, but not if there is a recorder going. I did get him to write most of it down though.

According to one website I found he is one of only 143,000 to have served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

Merry Christmas everyone from Suzie Dundee and I. I've had my kids here for the last week and we have had a great time. I hope everyone's Christmas break is as joyful.
