I just finished running my first thumper run (excluding cleaning runs) on http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... 27&t=12252. I did a 18 L [5 gal] DWWG wash, put enough in the thumper to cover the inlet tube and the rest of it in my 50 L keg boiler. I collected in 16 200ml jars and will let them air for a while and try to make the right cuts. I didn't go deep in the tails, they were just starting to get cloudy, but I ran out of collection jars.
Any tips for what specific smells and flavours too look for when making DWWG cuts?
