Reuse mash???

Post by Whiteman Slim »

I made a five gallons of corn meal and sugar mash (thin mash). I was running it I figure out that alcohol was super low, and I stopped running it. Could let it cool down and is it fermentable still. Add more sugar and yeast, or should I just start over?

:?: TATER- you have been lots of help to me. Everything you told me sound just like everything I read in a book name MAKING PURE CORN WHISKEY by Ian Smiley BSc, 2nd edition. How you read or hear of it. Well let get to what I want ask you; I am running the other stuff, and I started my next mash. Right now the SG is 1.120 ( I did not forget to check it this time). Does this sound like a good starting number with the SG. I am "STILL" learning, and you sound like you really know what you are talking about! Hope I not BUGGING you!
Thanks Tater :?: :?:
