Just enough to cover the inlet opening is just fine.

What was that charged with?

Water charge gonna act different than an alcohol charge........But the accumulation of liquid is why many Gents often say that the thumper should be 1/3 to 1/2 the size of yer primary boiler.....................Unless you've engineer'd a way to plumb a return back to your primary boiler...................But that is another thread.

The pot was charged with water and lemon juice the thumper had water in it. That is what the manufacture said to clean it with.

The recommdation more often than not, is to also run a low budget alcohol charge. As ethenol and other alcohols that may or may not be present in your charge will make for a very good cleaning solvent.

How large is your thumper btw?
Not one of those lil bitty mason jars is it?

Mayon,,,,I do apologize about the smart arse mason jar remark.

She is a beautiful little outfit. Use it in good health.

You can run her a couple different ways. Do not be disappointed if you find yourself having a tough time getting good separation on single run wash. Specially on a rig that small.
But a good hard strip run and then charge your thumper with some flavor juice for the spirit run and I'll bet you will be dern proud of your likker.

Nice looking rig, openwheel...

However,is it an optical illusion or is there a sag on the unsupported side of your worm...??? The top half of the worm appears to have sagged, with the upward slope on the backside of the coils which may cause potential pooling and surging...

I put the alum. spacer on it to help with that I will add another one before I fire it up for the real run.
