BigR brought me a nice little sample pack for me to try out. So I thought when he handed me the box. Ok it isn't little. Holy moly he brought me 6 qts of different things. I feel like crap now. Since I haven't made any runs in a while. My stock is really depleted. So I bottled up some of my best (not that great) corn experimentation faux bourbon. And the last of what fire piss I had. I also gave him a little samples of the Kansas clean distilled whiskey. So we could get another opinion on it. But man I wish I would of had more to send with him. It's not everyday you get to share with another stiller.
Disappointment. I got home to find what was in the box. Opened it up to find a great collection of different spirits. This stuff smells like heaven. And the bottling is wonderful. The little chared oak sticks is a nice touch. Now I need to make me some. I went to get a glass so I could pour me some on rocks. Here's where the disappointment comes in. I couldn't find a glass. They are all still packed from the move. And I realized I haven't hooked up the ice maker yet. So even if I could find a glass I have no ice to put in it.
Damnit! I will wait till I can taste it proper. I'm not a neat kind of guy. So its on hold for a bit. I will defiantly let you all know when I do.Thank you BigR for stopping by so we could meet. I enjoyed it. And look forward to doing it again sometime.
By the way when we were going through smelling your wonderful samples. The official smeller that mind you isn't a whiskey drinker. Smelled one of the whiskeys I seen her eyes get big and she promptly stuck her finger in it to get a taste.
Then said now that's nice.
